We do not believe in packaged weddings, so every wedding is treated individually. There are no set criteria, we will discuss with you your own menu, whether it be a buffet or sit down meal, to fit your own tastes and budget. We will even prepare a favourite family dish to your recipe. We can seat up to 50 for a formal meal or up to 70 for a buffet. We can also arrange to erect a marquee in the grounds for larger numbers.
In Kilfinan, when we say traditional, we mean traditional! Most brides choose to walk with their escort and bridesmaids behind the piper up to the Church. After the Wedding service, the Bride, Bridegroom and their guests follow the piper back to the hotel. Not only does this give a unique and romantic touch to your special day, it saves a lot of money on car hire!
Wedding procession from Kilfinan Church to Hotel
The ancient Church of Kilfinan lies right next door to the hotel and has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, with a new heating system, flooring, stained glass windows and stripped pews. The church generates a feeling of warmth and ageless charm for a small congregation. If a service in the church is not for you, the Minister has been known to marry couples on the beach, the pier at Tighnabruaich and in our Lamont Room.
The Lamont Room, where you can host your reception is also a very traditional room. There is a stage where your choice of music can be accommodated for a party or ceilidh following the wedding breakfast, if this is your choice, however if you would simply prefer a meal, this can also be arranged.
The hotel has 10 en-suite double rooms, including a superior room which is normally reserved for the bridal couple. This means that when your guests are staying overnight, the hotel becomes a special private place with a terrific atmosphere.
We will be delighted to talk to you and discuss your own ideas for a memorable occasion, so please call us on 01700 821201 or email at email@example.com.
